"Tucker Gunleather has been VERY helpful with my purchase and to make sure I order the right size and type of my belt. It is being made for me, and I am sure it will arrive in a timely manner. The personal sevice is the most impressive!"

“I got an Answer (holster) from Rob a couple years back and thought it was well-crafted and the lead time wasn’t at all out of line. If I remember right, I think it was about a 5 week wait. That’s child’s play for a hand-crafted holster.”

“Tucker holsters are not some cheap-ass, mass produced holsters. They are expensive, and they are worth it. Sure Blackhawk can make 500 Kydex holsters and have them sitting around, but thats not what Tucker is about.

Tucker makes custom leather/kydex holsters built to your specs, within reason.

When I ordered the first of my 2 The Answers, I wanted a few custom things done to them –have it sit a ‘lil lower, double up on the leather, have a sweatguard.

When I asked about having that done, the only response I got (from Tucker’s super-friendly rep) was “Sure, no problem!” I have since purchased 2 more holsters from Tucker, and they are all top-notch.

I do not mind waiting for them, and usually the wait time is less than what I was told it would be anyway.

Good things come to those that wait. If you will give them a chance they will earn your business.”

“I have to thank you for the outstanding leather, exceptional service, and great price!

I’m very pleased with this holster and belt, and can’t imagine ever wearing either of them out. They’re beautiful and solidly made. I will recommend your products to all who are looking for quality gunleather that’s also a work of art.

I’ve posted pics on Glock Talk’s Carry Issues and the Texas CHL Forum.

Thanks again!

Receiving this rig really made my day today!”

“. . . I can’t do so in public. Rob is a fantastic gentleman, and the delivery times aren’t always as long as the website states.

The first pic is with my OD G22, the second pic with my G23 (which looks a lot better in this holster), the remaining pics are under my normal daily garment.

I’ve been wearing it for 7 hours now, and it’s more comfortable than any other holster I’ve worn yet.

Of course, I’ll still wear IWB a lot, but I’ll also wear OWB more now that I have this rig.”

I received my IWB holster today for my Para .45 and once again it is a perfect fit. Seems no matter what oddball out-of-production gun I ask you folks to make an IWB holster for, you always provide me with a IWB that fits like a glove.

Thanks Rob.”

Tucker Holster … A Big Thumbs Up!

“I recently bought a Tucker HF2 and have to say I was very impressed with it. I bought the HF2 vs the HF1 since I carry several different length barrels and found it reliably held all sizes of 1911 I put into it.

If anyone is considering a holster I would strongly recommend a Tucker. I have two holsters and a mag carrier from them. The fit and finish is wonderful and everyone there is a pleasure to deal with.

The HF2 was sparked by my need to have an OWB holster to take to my week long pistol class at Gunsite. I was a little nervous about taking a new holster to the class without testing it but I’m a risk taking. I did bring a backup just in case but never needed it.

The holster was a great fit. I found it very comfortable wearing it from the time I got up in the morning to when I went back to bed. It held the gun close to the body, ideal for concealed carry, but still easy to draw from.

During my stay at Gunsite we had a combination of cold weather, rain, and snow. The holster held up to all conditions without hesitations. The retention was great while allowing a quick draw. I saw several people buying various Galco and Bladetech holsters at the Pro Shop but none seemed as nice as the Tucker.

Several people commented on the holster and several even wrote the name down for later use. I was really surprised by the comments from the instructors. These guys have seen just about every holster made and they where still impressed. I had one instructor write down Tucker’s URL and said he would order one the next chance he got.

If anyone is debating between a Tucker and a lesser manufacturer, let me take the guess work out. Buy the Tucker, you won’t regret it.”

Tucker Gunleather’s “The Answer”

“If any of you are still on the Path of the Search for the Perfect Holster, then give The Answer by Tucker Gunleather a try.

I have no affiliation whatsoever, I just read the reviews elsewhere in the gun forums and bought one for my carrys. I use a HK USPC 40 and a SIG P229.

The HK is lighter, flatter, and smaller than the SIG so I like to prefer carry that, but I love the SIG – I just shoot the SIG better and I taken all my training with the SIG.

The Answer is an IWB holster and is tuckable. It fits about as snug as it can get and the cant is adjustable.

It has a leather inside so your T-shirt won’t ride up and kydex outside to keep it’s shape. I’d say I have a medium body type 6′ and 200 lbs so I don’t have too much of a waist to make a CCW disappear. But when worn with The Answer, my SIG is kept close enough to my body that even over a loose T-shirt you’d have to know what you are looking for to see a print.

There is little chance of being made with a flannel short, dress shirt.

The holster is comfortable too with the inside leather.

I suggest the C clips, not very impressed with the standard clips. The standard clips are very obvious when worn though they make getting the holster on a bit easier. I like the C’s.

It takes a while for them to get shipped – about a month, but the wait was worth it. The guys at Tucker Gunleather answer phone calls and email too!

I think this holster for IWB tuckable carry is about as good as it can get.”

“After corresponding with Rob about my needs and asking his opinion, I ordered The Answer and 2 single mag carriers for my XD45.

My wife doubted whether I had any sense left when I told her that I was ordering a holster that cost that much.  This is in no way a criticism of the price, but she had seen the all kydex pancakes from Fobus and others for $25.00 or $30.00 and she thought that I should go the cheap route.

I told her that I have heard from people who try holster after holster and, after spending hundreds of dollars on ones that didn’t work, they finally found one they liked.  I wanted to skip all of the run around (and the expense) and get the right one the first time.  This means that even though “The Answer” cost a little more, I actually saved money in the long run and don’t have a bunch of “cheap junk” lying around.

Rob had told me that they should ship in less than 3 weeks, but they arrived in 16 days.

The price was as quoted and the quality is second to none. Tucker Gunleather used top quality materials and the fit and finish are perfect without a single flaw or blemish.

And when my wife saw your product, she changed her mind and was totally impressed with it.  I should make note she is not a “gun person” but I am working on her.

I would highly recommend Rob and Tucker Gunleather and will buy from them again when I need another holster. Thanks again Rob!”

” . . .coming from someone who wears a gun over 10 hrs. a day, everyday, I would gladly pay $250 again for an ANSWER. Luckily they are only $125.”

— Tim P.

The Answer really is “The Answer”

“Without fail “The Answer” holster is worth every penny. I would have written sooner, but I wanted to wait a bit so that I had time to wear it a bit and see how it broke in.

I searched all over the internet for a IWB holster for my Springfield Custom Loaded Micro-Compact 1911-A1 with rail. There were absolutely “0” anywhere to be found.

I emailed Rob and he responded in minutes with a resounding “Yes, I have what you need.”

Tucker’s leather and Kydex blend is perfect for any weapon. I wear mine almost all day long and sometimes forget it’s there.

Recently, I attended a wedding and wore it with my tux. Don’t worry so did the groom and other groomsmen. Nobody had a clue that I was carrying anything. The groom however, was using a Kramer IWB holster and was printing all over the place.

I will gladly pay $125.00 again for the next holster I need.

Hi Rob,

“I received the HF1 holster, mag pouch and belt yesterday. Everything is incredibly well built while at the same time being flat-out beautiful. The workmanship, tooling and stitching — everything is gorgeous! This rig appears capable of actually out lasting the pistol it was purchased for — and considering that I’m talking about a SIG, that’s high praise!

My only regret is that I didn’t have the belt tooled; but that’s OK, I’m sure this won’t be the last order I place with Tucker Gunleather. Please pass along my compliments and sincere thanks to Mr. Tucker for his fine work.”

Many thanks,
Jeff Jackson

“I bought my The Answer almost exactly one year ago, and I carry a Glock 26.

My previous rig was a SmartCarry. Though concealment was excellent, I found it to be rather uncomfortable. So, I found myself often just carrying a pocket gun. But I really wanted to carry the Glock (at least on workdays, when I have to come into New Orleans), so I decided to give a tuckable IWB a try, and after much reading, The Answer came out on top.

Yes, it was a little pricey, but after owning it for a year, I can definitely say that it was worth it (for me at least). While I’d be lying if I said I can’t feel it at all, it is by no means uncomfortable. In the weeks after Katrina, I was ripping out wet carpet, moving furniture around, climbing on neighbor’s roofs with a chainsaw to help them cut downed trees away … even with all that physical activity, wearing the Glock was not a burden at all.

And given the weakened state of law enforcement, I did not feel comfortable with the prospect of carrying a smaller gun.

In short, this holster has made it possible for me to carry a decent sized gun every day, without forcing me to change the way I dress, inflicting daily pain, or making me look like I have some sort of deformity.”

“I wanted to let you know that I received my Cover Up Plus holster for my Kahr P45 holster a few weeks ago. I really like it a lot. It is comfortable and is perfectly fitted. Now I’m a little peeved at you because when I wear another holster for another gun it isn’t nearly as comfortable. My Kydex IWB feel all pinchy and hard. Now it’s going to cost me beaucoup bucks to replace my other holsters. Do you know how many guns I have? I’m an Alaskan for crying out loud. Our motto up here when asked, “how many guns does an Alaskan need?” is ONE MORE! Thanks a lot buddy. You got some explaining to do to the wife. 🙂

Also, I really appreciate the guarantee you guys have. Do you carry any seconds? If you do I would love to know what you have used since I have some more holsters I need.”

“Rob, I am still trying to wear out one of Tucker’s pancake style 1911 holsters. Seven years later and no luck.

I have had it out in all sorts of weather, working on the ranch, hot humid days, wet rainy days, cold windy days and covered with dust and dirt that gets stirred up from hours on the tractor or riding an ATV, covered with sweat and sawdust from clearing brush or repairing fences, hunting and just playing around in beautiful Fayette County and I cannot kill this thing!

No cracks, splits or any damage. Oh sure, threes some stains from bar oil form the chainsaw and scratches from walking through briars and rub spots from where it rides against the seat on the tractor, but this holster is the toughest thing I can find.

I have gone through Galcos, Safarilands and Don Humes holsters, but cannot ruin a Tucker holster. I can count on one hand the times I have done any upkeep on this thing as well. Maybe a little leather balm but only a few times in seven years. Maintenance free? Almost.

Pretty soon, I will be ordering one for my XD-40 and I have no doubt it will last this long, too! I have a cheapie Don Hume for the CD right now, but its not very comfortable and looks terrible after less than 6 months of use. What do I expect for 25 bucks, right?

Guys, if you want a great holster, try a Tucker. I swear, I cannot find a better fitting more comfortable or durable holster and it looks good, too.”
