A Straight-talking S.F. Police Officers representative tells the media what’s so.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 21st April 2009

This is nearly a 3-year old story, but I’m posting it because I’m impressed with straight talk and this is a great example.

Gary Delagnes, head of the San Francisco Police Officers Association tells the media the truth about a good policeman and felon who caused his death during a high-speed chase. The link to the press conference is below. Don’t you wish we could count on straight talk from all sectors of our government?

Officer Nick Birco was killed July 26, 2006 when his patrol car was struck by a van carrying persons involved in an earlier robbery.

Customer experience exactly matches….

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 28th March 2009

Today’s email brought a thank you and review on a recent arrival of a new Tucker Texas Heritage IWB.

The customer’s experience exactly describes the intention of the design of the holster.

It’s great that he noticed/felt exactly what Tucker set out to accomplish with this holster.

“Rob,

I finally received my carry permit a week or so ago, and have now had a chance to wear my Texas Heritage holster with my XD 40 Sub-compact.  I am really amazed at how comfortable it is to wear and how well a tucked shirt hides my pistol.

The holster does a great job keeping my pistol away from my body – there are no sharp edges.  The slight pressure is actually comforting after awhile.  There are certainly no security issues with this holster, my XD fits snugly but draws easily.  Given the top quality leather and workmanship, and perfect functionality, I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.

Best regards, Austin”

A Truly Great Ford Commercial

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 2nd December 2008

I think you’ll find this video worth the 4 minutes it takes to watch. I don’t want to spoil it by telling you why you should watch it, except to say it’s a great short story of a returning Iraq vet, told in just a few minutes.

It has a very nice ending, indeed. Click here.

Silent Thunder Buzz

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 17th November 2008

It couldn’t have been better if we’d planned it. Who knew? We thought Silent Thunder would attract some attention, but the response continues to grow even more positive.

Here’s thread from the Open Carry forum from earlier this year that really gives a very detailed review of one customer’s experience with Silent Thunder. Check it out.

We’ve got the lead time down to about 2 weeks now. The water’s fine – jump on in!

BTW, are you curious about our coming attractions? Well, there’s lots and we’ll reveal more next week.

People love the Tucker Silent Thunder

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 3rd July 2008

Here’s a recent comment from a guy who’s carried a long time.

“Rob, my Silent Thunder IWB arrived today and I’ve been wearing it since 11 a.m. It is by far the most comfortable holster I’ve ever had.

Concealment is top notch along with the fit and finish. I’m going to recommend this to every one I know. I work in law enforcement here in Illinois where many think guns even in the hands of peace officers is quite shocking when they are off duty, so to me the best features of your holster are comfort and concealment.

Frankly I got tired  of eating lunch and being interrupted as I get approached by the local police on high alert because someone called them on me because they saw the outline of my pistol under my shirt. Once I show them my credentials everybody is friends but why go through the hassle? I’m confident that problem will no longer exist with your holster on my hip. Sincerely, Eric.

P.S. It also has the fastest draw I’ve seen as well!”

It’s true. Leather-lined kydex has turned out to be a really great alternative to all-leather and all-kydex. Want something so smooooooth, you’ll be talking about it for weeks? That’s Tucker’s Silent Thunder. It’s patent-pending and Tucker found a way to do it that others have been trying to do for years.

Silent Thunder review at M1911.org

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 20th June 2008

Here’s a nice long and detailed review of Tucker’s Silent Thunder leather-lined kydex holsters as posted on M1911.org.  It’s raining orders for Silent Thunder over here and this article gives a few good reasons why.

The feel of the the specially-treated slick leather will have you sitting in front of the TV practicing your draw over and over and over. It just feels that good. (Be sure to unload and leave your ammo in the other room.)

Tucker’s Texas Heritage IWB – more popular than ever

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 12th June 2008

I’m amazed at how many new customers are still discovering the Tucker Texas Heritage

Tucker’s Answer IWB gets most of the publicity, but people just love their Texas Heritage IWB’s. It’s just so dang comfortable and it’s all premium Hermann Oak cowhide.

He knew right away.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 9th June 2008

What would prompt a guy to write a review of a new IWB holster only an hour after he got it in the mail? Usually, people like to wait to form an opinion. This guy received his Tucker Gunleather Answer and knew right away what he had in his hands.

He could appreciate the quality and workmanship but when he put it on, it surprised him how well the holster worked, even without any break-in.

 Here’s his review.

Have you got your Answer yet or are you still filling up your holster drawer?

“Spend your money on quality leather…”

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 25th May 2008

Rob:
I took a class at United States Shooting Academy (usshootingacademy.com) last week.  Course was Intro to Marksmanship and it is the basic course so you can move on to Defensive handgun courses.

I wore “The Answer” to the course as I carry every day so it was just normal to carry to class.  As the course proceeded and we had shot I was showing empty and then holstering my XD45.  One of the instructors noticed the holster and asked about it.

I was proud to show him my Tucker Gunleather “The Answer“.  He was impressed and commented on the quality.

Later, as the class was winding down and we were back in the classroom to get the certificates for completion the subject of holsters for CCW came up.  So the instructer said “Jim, show them your setup.  So I stood up, lifted my shirt and showed my 18 fellow classmates my “Answer.”

The instructor said, this is what I mean by investing in a quality holster and gunbelt.  I probably have spent $10,000.00 in holster in the last 20 years.  I have boxes of them at home that I wore  and tossed in the box.  Spend your money on quality leather and you won’t regret it.

Thanks again for a quality product.  People can see the quality… and I got to plug Tucker Gunleather.

                                   Jim

The Cover Up remains a favorite holster

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 19th May 2008

Tucker’s Cover Up IWB remains a favorite with our customers and got a recent boost from the American Cop article written by Mark Hanten. The result of the article was a flood of orders (Tucker’s catching up on them).

I was invited recently to visit a forum with which I wasn’t familiar by a customer who told me that’s how he had discovered us. The Forum is called Total Protection Interactive. (You may want to check it out, especially if you’re considering appendix carry.)

The thread was all about how people were using Tucker’s Cover Up so I registered and introduced myself.

Soon after a great post showed up in the form of a review of the the Cover Up for appendix carry and I thought I’d share it with you. You may get some good carry ideas.

Here’s a picture from the post. There are many other well-done photos.

The Cover Up remains one of the most versatile IWB’s available anywhere. In fact, we just came out with a kydex version of it and a leather-lined kydex version called the Silent Thunder IWB with a short turnaround time for delivery. Demand is already strong.
