Ain’t so

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 4th April 2009

You may have been hearing stories that 90% of the guns used in the Mexican drug wars have come from the U.S.

You may have heard that’s another reason to re-institute more restrictions on gun sales.

The story is just NOT TRUE. It ain’t so.

Fox News has this report.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 30th March 2009

The post that got my attention first is this one from February called, “I’m Tired.”

It’s a commentary on what we’re all dealing with now.

I couldn’t express it any better.

Guns at work

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 26th March 2009

Good news for Texans. The Texas Senate unanimously approved legislation that would allow people to carry firearms to work and store them in their parked vehicles outside.

Save your brass.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 18th March 2009

The Obama administration is behind a move to prevent used military brass from reaching reloaders - commercial or individual.

Police departments will be greatly impacted because a lot of remanufactured ammo is used by PD’s for practice; the price will go up and supply will go down.

Same for the average shooter.

In future, any used brass from the military will have to be deformed or crushed to make it useless except for the value of the metal alone.

Here’s more information.

Every day it’s something else from this crowd that makes you determined to throw them out the next election.

I’m so p*ssed I can’t see straight!

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 17th March 2009

How do we get rid of  Obama and his administration? Start to work NOW!

Have you seen this news?

Obama wants veterans to pay for service-connected medical treatment through reimbursing the Veterans Administation from their private insurance!

Here’s the story.

He wants to take money from our veterans to pay for his favorite new programs while saving money on the backs of veterans.

Obama is talking about violating a sacred agreement between our country and service members.

Screw that!

I’m so pissed I can’t see straight!

I don’t care that it’s probably a “trial balloon,” checking for public reaction and will never pass the Congress.

He’s a bait and switch artist.

People thought they were voting for this:

What they got is this:

Citizens have rights, governments don’t.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 10th March 2009

John Longenecker (no relationship to me) has been writing intelligently on gun issues for many years.

He brings up a great point in responding to a NY Times article about the Washington, D.C. push to give residents a vote in the House of Representatives.

The NY Times blames the gun lobby for delays and says that the measure “has run afoul of the gun lobby that is determined to deny Washington another fundamental right to regulate firearms.”

John wisely points out that “citizens have rights, governments do not.” We should remember that and remind our representatives.

I recommend John’s article here.

What’s a Libertarian?

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 5th March 2009

What’s a Libertarian?

There is a Libertarian Party in the United States.  They don’t seem to get elected on any national scale and many people don’t really know what they stand for. The media pretty much ignores them.

Here’s a nice explanation from Sam Wells‘ point of view. I found that I agreed with most of what Libertarians agree with. There’s even a book about Libertarianism, if you’re interested. It’s all about personal freedom and responsibility.

Here are more essays about Libertarianism written by Sam Wells.

Anybody a fan of “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand? It’s a novel that relates very well to current circumstances where it appears that the government is trying to regulate more and more; punishing success.

Atlas Shrugged was first published in 1957. It may be the most influential ever read. I’m reading it again, now. There are 1,667 reviews of it on Amazon.com.

Anyone have something to add?

Look inside the insane world of “The Obama Forum.”

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 4th March 2009

Not only are the participants in “The Obama Forum” pro Obama, they are vehemently anti just about everything else. Forum threads include “reparations,” gun control, “don’t tip white waiters,” “it’s our turn now,” “wipe your ass with the constitution,” and list private information about people you know who make statements against Obama (including spouse and parents).

Read the details in this post from the Canada Free Press and go buy some bigger guns.

You will not believe what’s posted on this website. “We’re not in America anymore, Toto!”

Just as a sample, here’s the avatar of one of the pro-Obama posters on that forum:

Send this to anyone who doubts…

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 2nd March 2009

If you know someone who doesn’t think the Obama administration wants to deny your gun rights, send them a link to this video. Then tell them how to join the NRA – even become a LIFE MEMBER.
