There is a 20-year old global warming conversation that:
1. It is certain that there is global warming and 2. Human activity is the cause.
It ain’t necessarily so. There are circumstances that have been observed and then interpretations added. This article has an interesting take on the ideological, theological and psychological aspect of this conversation. If you are convinced that we’re the cause of terrible global warming and we’ll pay for it soon, don’t bother reading this article. It might cause an aneurism.

John Coleman, founder of The Weather Channel, has more credibility than Al Gore and has 31,000 scientists backing him when he says, “Global Warming caused by humans is not supportable by the facts.”
Why should you care? The Global Warming Scam is one of the reasons behind $4.34/gallon gasoline.

John Kenneth Blackwell (born February 28, 1948), is a former secretary of state of the U.S. state of Ohio who made an unsuccessful bid as the Republican nominee for Governor of Ohio in the 2006 election. He was the first African-American to be the candidate for governor of a major party in Ohio.
He has written a great column about Barak Obama and I recommend it to you.
It’s important that the folks see Obama for who he really is rather than the hopeful fantasy the press presents.

What a shocking turn of events!

The Onion News Network reports that Diebold, manufacturer of most of this country’s voting machines, has accidentally released the results of the November election.
We now know the winner of the 2008 Presidential election in advance. The pretense that the American people’s votes are actually counted has been shattered by this news. Many have always suspected that a powerful few makes the actual selection of the president every four years – now the charade has been uncovered.
More details and video at 11.
Watch the Onion News Network video about this unprecedented story here.
Huckabee says he’s going to continue campaigning until he’s sure it’s really over.

I do believe that there are reasons why we tend toward certain philosophical or political positions. Certainly, the opinions we grew up with in our family are important as well as whether our parents were Republican, Democrat or Independent.
I’ve also suspected that our politics are inline with our overarching world view of who we are in the world, how the world operates and what we can expect from life. Clearly, there are those who feel able to impact the direction of their lives and those who feel at the effect of their circumstances.
There are also those who are successful, but feel that others are more or less powerless.
It is tempting to apply psychological factors to our politics, especially when we begin feeling superior in our view and wonder how anyone else could see things as they do.
A persuasive argument for the psychological underpinnings of Liberalism is now in print.
Hey, I think it makes sense, but I’ll bet our liberal readers have another point of view.

Here’s a link to a review of “The Liberal Mind” and an excerpt below.
WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying
themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case
that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.
“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals
relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms
were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal
Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry
children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and
demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”

Many politicians propose “single-payer” healthcare with the U.S. Government as the single-payer. It would be mandatory and make private health care illegal.
Proponants of universal healthcare often point to Canada’s health care system as a model for what they want to force on us in America.
I invite you to take 5 minutes or so to watch this video about the consequences of the “free” Canadian healthcare system.
To see some balance read the articles below if you like. Canada’s system is not all bad.
If we change the system we have, we better be very sure of what we’re going to get. Everytime we gain something from government we lose some freedom and choice in the process.

Global cooling is now a concern.
“Back in 1991, before Al Gore first shouted that the Earth was in the balance, the Danish Meteorological Institute released a study using data that went back centuries that showed that global temperatures closely tracked solar cycles.
To many, those data were convincing. Now, Canadian scientists are seeking additional funding for more and better “eyes” with which to observe our sun, which has a bigger impact on Earth’s climate than all the tailpipes and smokestacks on our planet combined.
And they’re worried about global cooling, not warming.”
What an interesting turn of events.
This underlines argument that’s been under the surface of the global warming debate for a long time – whether variances in the activity or our sun has the most impact on the earth’s temperature or greenhouse gases.
“……As we have noted many times, perhaps the biggest impact on the Earth’s climate over time has been the sun.”
We’ll see.

Berkeley Council tells Marines to leave.
Do you believe this? I guess Berkeley, CA is still the same center of leftist thought it was in the 1960’s.
Let’s hope they don’t need the Marines for real one day.

Hell, no!
I’d love to have videos showing Hillary’s famous screeching, arrogant outbursts at the Secret Service teams who guarded her. How about her telling underlings in the White House not to look her in the eye, but keep eyes down when passing her in the hall?
Of course, if we get Hill, we get Bill. The man will do or say anything to be center of attention or pad his bank account.
Here’s a report that just came to light about his influence peddling for money.
I might not be thrilled with McCain or Romney, but I sure don’t want “Billary” anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again.
