Man, we have been busy at Tucker Gunleather! Sorry for no recent posts

Posted by Rob Longenecker on May 19th, 2010

For years, it’s been Tucker at the workbench and me at on the phones. We took in a lot of orders and built quite a backlog.

While a backlog sounds like business insurance, and very few people have canceled orders, people want their holsters sooner rather than later. We want to ship as fast as possible, too.

Recently, we’ve hired help for Tucker and it’s paying off. We’ve cleared out a lot of backlog with the help Tucker has with preparation in the shop, but there’s a lot more to go.

Silent Thunders, Answers and Secret IWB’s are going out in 3-4 weeks. Texas Heritage, Cover Up, Cover Up Plus IWB’s have been backed up but we’re clearing them now so the lead time should shrink to less that two months.

HF1’s, Belts and mag pouches (particularly in sets) whether stamped or unstamped, take longer to make (both labor and dry time). This is where the challenge is because Tucker has to be involved in so many of the steps to completion on these rigs. Having help in the shop with prep work is making a difference.

Stamped rigs are still close to a year’s wait.

Stay tuned for better news soon.

We said 9 months at the time and we didn’t make it. You are not alone and there are still orders ahead of yours and we’re still behind.
The stamped orders are taking a long time to get done. No one but Tucker can do them.
George, call me if you want more information.
I’m sorry we didn’t make the time we estimated and I know it’s disappointing.

Tucker and Rob will take care of you.

    - A satisfied customer

    George,
I waited from the end of July last year until today when mine arrived. All I can say is don’t worry about the wait, trust me. I am overly satisfied with mine. I know it may seem frustrating at times, but we knew that it would be a long wait, so what’s a little longer? I promise you any frustration will flee when you open that box!
