Got a big revolver?

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 26th September 2009

If you have a large revolver, a single action revolver, or just need a field holster, Tucker may have something you’d really like.

This is a picture of a cross draw field holster Tucker just made for a Freedom Arms Model 83 Single Action revolver. It comes with a hammer thong (not visible in picture).

Cross draw is great for a hunting holster because it keeps your handgun away from the butt of your rifle while carrying in the field.

Seay 002

The customer ordered four matching holsters for four different pistols:

Freedom Arms Model 83 with 7-1/2″ bbl, Freedom Arms Model 83 w/4-3/4″ bbl, a Ruger Black Hawk and a Single Six.

CDraw 002

The color is medium brown and the stamping is called Cross Cut. The holsters are lined with 4-5 oz. smooth cowhide.

On 9/12/09 several hundred thousand (or more) people showed up in Washington D. C. to protest the many changes that the democrats are promoting.

You’ve seen pictures, but you probably haven’t seen these.

Let Recoil Happen

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 22nd September 2009

So, how do you counteract the dreaded flinch?

You don’t. Sound off base?

I suggest you take the time to read Ron Avery’s article.

Got a Taser? Don’t need a real gun anymore?

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 20th September 2009

“Another Taser Failure: …Police gave this account: Around 12:30 p.m. officers were called to an apartment complex near 19th and Glendale avenues, after residents reported an argument with their 32-year-old neighbor who was angry and had stabbed their door with a butcher knife. She then returned to her apartment. Officers went to the apartment door of the woman. She wouldn’t come out. Instead, she told officers she was going to turn on the gas in her apartment. A few minutes later officers smelled gas and called the Special Assignment Unit. An SAU officer tried to negotiate with the woman to open the door. She refused. Officers forced entry into the apartment, and the woman started throwing bottles at the officers. Officers again tried negotiating with the woman. She refused. They tried using a Taser on the woman. Nothing worked. Officers tried shooting her with a sage gun, which shoots plastic dowels. As the officer shot the sage gun, the woman stabbed him in the shoulder. The knife caught his ballistic vest, and he was uninjured. That’s when another officer shot the woman twice. She died at the scene… (Be wary of anyone who suggests that you don’t really need a firearm.)”  Thanks to Stephen P. Wengerhttp://www.spw-duf.info

Obama Pushes Anti-Gun Treaty

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 16th September 2009

Did you know about this international treaty signed by 29 countries that would register our guns and make those records available to other countries as well as our own?

Bill Clinton signed it but it was never ratified. Now President Obama is pushing for its ratification in the U.S. Senate. Let your Senator know how you fell about it.

Meet Ralph Marston – The Daily Motivator

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 15th September 2009

I’ve been getting the Daily Motivator every morning for several years.

Ralph Marston has a way of putting good ideas into words that make my days go better.  Maybe you could use a good start today.

Here’s today’s Daily Motivator:

THE DAILY MOTIVATOR
Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Positive start
+++++++++++++++++++

Start each day the way you wish to live it. Take positive control of your thoughts, your actions, your feelings and your attitude before some random occurrence ends up imposing its perspective on you.

Be open to the surprises while also being decisive and focused about what you intend to do. Get a few nice accomplishments under your belt early on, and set an effective, empowering pace for the whole day.

Right away, find some new thing for which to be thankful.
Your sincere gratitude will shine its light on the best of the day’s possibilities.

When you feel a worry coming, move quickly to transform it into creative action. If it seems that you’re beginning to be overwhelmed, focus intently on whatever is most important to you.

While the day is young, decide on some new way that you can make a meaningful difference for others. Then start taking the steps that will make it happen.

Give yourself some real power and effectiveness by beginning each day in a joyfully decisive and lovingly purposeful way.
And life grows richer with each passing hour.

Ralph Marston

Radical ‘Regulatory Czar’ Could Pose Problems for Gun Owners

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 12th September 2009

Gun Owners of America is sounding the alert on Cass Sunstein who we warned about in our last post.

“Friday, September 11, 2009

Yesterday, another radical extremist joined the ranks of the Obama administration.

Cass Sunstein, who is an old friend of Barack Obama, is now our new Regulatory Czar.  You will recall that he is the guy who wants animals to sue hunters and other Americans.

He also supports gun control.“  Read the rest of the article here.

See Cass Sunstein Video.

See Glenn Beck on Sunstein.

Visit Cass Sunstein’s website.

These guys in the Obama administration are serious – a serious threat to our rights and the future of our country.

We need to follow the lead of those who protested in D.C. today and make our voices heard.

Meet Cass Sunstein in his own words.

Double Tap – Good Video

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 7th September 2009

I don’t know who the guy is who made this video, but I think his explanation of a double tap is worth viewing.

People sometimes think a double tap is one sight picture and then releasing two shots as fast as possible, hoping the second shot will hit the target. See if you like his explanation and demonstration better.

Double Tap Video.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 6th September 2009

Someone needs to invent something a person can wear  that will shield the eyes from the sun…

Stupid

It’s kinda like wearing a good holster with a crappy belt.
