Do you like high performance jet aircraft?

Well, I sure do. Many have seen the new F-22 Raptor in action, but not much on the new F35 Joint Strike fighter.
This video was produced by Lockheed-Martin and shows a lot of pride in their products – just like Tucker.
5th Generation Fighters Enjoy!
Many years ago, I flew an A-7 Corsair II while in VA-72, aboard the John F. Kennedy.
Yes, I’d take a few more day traps.

Thank you for your service, Rob. And, welcome home.

The coolest thing about the F-35 by far has to be the pilot’s helmet. It’s almost a shame that things are moving too fast and far away for enemy pilots to get a look at one of our guys wearing these things. Guaranteed to make them crap their pants!

Hi, Rob, when were you in VA-72? I flew with VA-72 while I was CVW-LSO in 1977-78.

I was in VA-72 from late 1971 to Feb 1973. Mike Basford was skipper when I arrived and John Donahue was skipper when I left. Got lots of flight time and lots of traps because our Med Cruise lasted 11 months due to two extensions.
We kept the Greeks safe from the Swedish girls.

I was in VA-82 on the America from Dec 71 to Sep 73. We were supposed to go to the Med in June,72, but got sent to Westpac instead. I think that caused part of your extension.
