NRA Life Memberships – Special Opportunity

Posted by Rob Longenecker on February 27th, 2009

NRA Life Memberships are usually $1000. Until March 31st, 2009, you can get one for $300. If you recently renewed, I believe you can upgrade for the difference.

One hitch – you have to be “sponsored” (probably not the right word) by a life member to get it. What that means is, when you call the NRA Member services you need to have the Life Member number of a buddy to give them.

Call 1-877-NRA-2000 and press #3 for Life Memberships. You may have to wait on hold a couple of minutes.

I just upgraded and I’m now a LIFE MEMBER of the NRA. That feels pretty darn good.

It’s something we can do to let Mr. Obama where we stand.

  1. W. Squire Says:

A friend of mine tried this and the NRA rep told him that his “life member friend” would have to do it for him. In other words, she suggested that you cannot call with the # of a life member. Rather, the life member must call with your payment information.

  2. Rob Longenecker Says:

That may be so. When I called up to NRA Membership services, I was told that I couldn’t get the deal without having a Life Member help me.
Maybe they were just easy to deal with, but I called back with Tucker’s life member number and they signed me up.

Either way, get a Life Member to help you get set up and enjoy a great deal.

    Confusion at NRA about this……..

“Andrew” says NO and “Diane” is wishywashy about doing this, although she has done some. Either it is in effect or it is not and they need to get everyone that answers the phone to say and do the same thing…..yes or no.

  4. a allen Says:

Diane is doing them now without any problems. Not sure if Andrew has been clued in yet. There are only 2 people in that office that answer the phone.

  5. Rob Longenecker Says:

    A. Allen, Thanks for checking that out at the NRA and letting us know what’s up.

  6. hsoi Says:

Hrm. I just called them about this. I was told that existing annual members could upgrade to Life for $500. The $300 was only offered as a way for family members to offer Life memberships to other family members. (and still all part of the through March 31 promotion).

Hrm…. so what’s the secret handshake here? 😉

  7. Rob Longenecker Says:

We have been getting several different stories from the NRA. My apologies if my information was incomplete.

I paid $300 and was not a “family member.” Of course, I haven’t received my upgraded membership yet, so anything could happen.

  8. Terry Muilenberg Says:

I just talked to “Jenny” and was told it is only offered to family members of Life Members. Existing members need to pay the $500 discounted fee.

  9. Ed Says:

I am an annual member and called Monday and got my son a life membership for $300. I used code W9AVCRDE. I found this offer through the link listed below.

The NRA is offering a $300 Lifetime Membership through March 31st.

    Please call 1-800-672-3888

It seems that it is as easy as calling the NRA and giving them the code W9AVCRDE. This will only work if you are already a member.

The links did not show. Here they are:
