Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (H.R. 45)
If you Google this you’ll find everyone in our community discussing this attempt to ammend the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to prohibit you from possessing or transferring a firearm without a license.
If you want to know more, here’s a link. And, another link.
I can’t believe that there were gun owners voting for the democrats in the last election, believing the “Oh, we don’t want to take away your guns” rhetoric.

As many of you know, several states are proposing variations on a law requiring each round of ammunition sold in the state to have a unique serial number. After a grace period, all the ammo you already own will become illegal.
The National Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF) has information that strongly argues against this harsh legislation designed to effectively limit ammunition sales and use. Here’s the link.
Some feel that there’s no chance this legislation will pass, but I’d certainly want to watch this trend carefully.

We often refer to our country’s form of government as a democracy. It wasn’t intended to be a democracy and believe me, we don’t want one. It’s a definition of terms, really. The United States was formed as a Republic, governed by the rule of law to protect us from the government and from “majority rule.”
This video is absolutely outstanding – well worth your time to watch it and certainly something you’ll want to share. It’s called The American Form of Government. We give it 5 Stars.
What’s your reaction to it? Let me know.

Standard of living
+++++++++++++++++++
Your standard of living has very little to do with how much money you make or how many possessions you have. It depends primarily on the way you choose to live your life in each moment.
Your standard of living is not decided by where you came from. It is determined by where you choose to go.
You don’t need anyone’s permission or assistance to raise your standard of living. You simply must decide to make the very best of who you are and what you have.
Do you wish to live a magnificent life that’s overflowing with joy and fulfillment? You can most certainly do that, right here and now, by choosing your attitude, your perceptions, your thoughts and your actions.
Raise your standard of living in every moment by doing something to make your world a more beautiful place. Achieve the very highest standard of living by faithfully following the purpose that lives at your core.
There is always something you can do to improve the quality of your life. Continually seize those opportunities for improvement, and enjoy a rich, rewarding standard of living all the time.

Scientists in Germany say that liquid wood is the plastic of tomorrow. Plastic was one of the great innovations of the 20th century, but German scientists believe a new invention, liguid wood, could soon replace the chemical in many everyday applications – what about pistol frames?
The substance is called Arboform — basically liquid wood derived from wood pulp-based lignin (a paper byproduct) and can be mixed with a umber of other materials to create a strong, non-toxic alternative to petroleum-based plastics. Also, the scientists have demonstrated that the substance is recyclable.
They are already making car parts and other durable items from this new bio-plastic. Whether they ever make a pistol frame from this substance, I thought you might like a heads-up. Keep you eye open for new products made from liquid wood.
We’re used to new products and innovations, especially at Tucker Gunleather. This year will see many wonderful new Tucker Gunleather products. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter on the front page of our website.

Eric Holder is no friend to gun owners and his views are off the mark in many other ways. Why did Obama nominate him for Attorney General if Obama truly believes in the 2nd Amendment? Obama doesn’t, really.
