Sham Election Exposed!

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 29th February 2008

What a shocking turn of events!

Election2008.gif

The Onion News Network reports that Diebold, manufacturer of most of this country’s voting machines, has accidentally released the results of the November election.

We now know the winner of the 2008 Presidential election in advance. The pretense that the American people’s votes are actually counted has been shattered by this news. Many have always suspected that a powerful few makes the actual selection of the president every four years – now the charade has been uncovered.

More details and video at 11.

Watch the†Onion News Network video about†this unprecedented†story here.

Huckabee†says he’s going to continue campaigning until he’s sure it’s really over.

The Liberal Mind

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 28th February 2008

I do believe that there are reasons why we tend toward certain philosophical or political positions. Certainly, the opinions we grew up with in our family are important as well as whether our parents were Republican, Democrat or Independent.

I’ve also suspected that our politics are inline with our overarching world view of who we are in the world, how the world operates and what we can expect from life. Clearly, there are those who feel able to impact the direction of their lives and those who feel at the effect of their circumstances.

There are also those who are successful, but feel that others are more or less powerless.

It is tempting to apply†psychological factors to our politics, especially when we begin feeling superior in our view and wonder how anyone else could see things as they do.

A persuasive argument for the psychological underpinnings of Liberalism is now in print.

Hey, I think it makes sense, but I’ll bet our liberal readers have another point of view.

Here’s a link to a review of “The Liberal Mind” and an excerpt below.

WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying
themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case
that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals
relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms
were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal
Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry
children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and
demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”

Russia’s Putin is suffocating opposition.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 25th February 2008

This guy worries me. He’s beyond arrogant in his consolidation of power and is crushing opposition in Russia.†Many thought the fall of the Soviet Union would bring a lasting peace. It’s important to keep our guard up.

putin-vladimir~s600x600.jpg

Our†next president will have both Russia and China to deal with, and I doubt either Hillary or Obama has what it takes. Any president will be challenged greatly.

You’ll remember Russia’s claim to the natural resources under the Artic and North Pole. Putin is likely to cause us a truckload of problems to deal with in the near future.

Health Care choices in jeopardy in U.S.

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 19th February 2008

Many†politicians propose “single-payer” healthcare with the U.S. Government as the single-payer. It would be mandatory and make private health care illegal.

Proponants†of†universal healthcare†often point to Canada’s health care system as a model for what they want to force on us in America.

I invite you to take 5 minutes or so to watch this video about the consequences of the “free” Canadian healthcare system.

To see some balance read the articles below if you like.†Canada’s system is†not all bad.

If we change the system we have, we better be very sure of what we’re going to get. Everytime we gain something from government we lose some freedom and choice in the process.

Leather-Lined Answer now available. NEW*

Posted by Rob Longenecker on 14th February 2008

A patent-pending process allows Tucker to bond leather to kydex as part of the molding process. We recently introduced the “Silent Thunder” line of leather-lined kydex belt holsters and single clip IWB’s with only a 3-4 week turnaround. See the introductory post for “Silent Thunder.”

The idea behind a leather-lined kydex holster is silence. When you draw you make no “snick” sound to alert the bad guy. That may not be important to many of you, but it is to some – particularly the military guys who saw Tucker’s leather-lined holsters at the SHOT Show. In addition, many people just like premium cowhide next to their favorite gun.

We have also added a leather-lined Answer just to be fair. Tucker’s now made it easier to decide on what holster will work best – leather or kydex. Like all Tucker holsters, the new holsters have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee.
