I got wind of this from a fellow Navy Flight Instructor and friend from years ago. He always forwards aviation news to me. Mid-airs are unforgivingly fatal most of the time.
“Two pilots were killed performing aerobatics at an air show in Poland yesterday when their planes collided in front of thousands of spectators.
More Pictures.
A Reuters photographer at the scene said the collision occurred after a three-plane formation fanned out and two of the aircraft slammed into each other as they attempted to re-converge. However, a conflicting report said four aircraft from the Zelazny air team were in the formation.
The stricken planes – understood to be Czech-made Zlin-50s – burst into fragments. They plummeted towards a wooded area at the edge of the airfield near Radom, 97km from Warsaw.
The mid-air carnage happened hundreds of metres from spectators. No one on the ground was injured.
Last night, it was not clear what caused the crash.
The identities of the pilots had not been made public but both were said to be from Zielona Gora in western Poland.
Pilots from 15 countries were taking part in the air show, which was cancelled after the deaths.”
Another potentially fatal thing is to leave your carry gun at home because your holster is too uncomfortable and you’ve given up on comfortable carry. Tucker Gunleather is home to comfortable carry. Don’t give up – go to www.TuckerGunleather.com.

This blast by the Mexican President illuminates the context that much of Mexico operates from – the notion that the U.S. has no business controlling its borders and keeping illegals out. No wonder the Mexican government is no help. (Our own government is not much help either.)
Mexican Pres. Blasts U.S. Immigration Policy. Traci Carl, AP. 09/02/07.
MEXICO CITY — President Felipe Calderon blasted U.S. immigration policies on Sunday and promised to fight harder to protect the rights of Mexicans in the U.S., saying “Mexico does not end at its borders.”
The criticism earned Calderon a standing ovation during his first state-of-the nation address.
“We strongly protest the unilateral measures taken by the U.S. Congress and government that have only persecuted and exacerbated the mistreatment of Mexican undocumented workers,” he said. “The insensitivity toward those who support the U.S. economy and society has only served as an impetus to reinforce the battle … for their rights.”
He also reached out to the millions of Mexicans living in the United States, many illegally, saying: “Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico.”
Since taking office in December, Calderon has maintained strong ties with the United States, but he has often denounced U.S. immigration policy, including more deportations that have divided many families, sometimes forcing U.S.-born children to build new lives in Mexico…..

“Speaking at a forum organized by Lance Armstrong on cancer research, Hillary Clinton told Chris Matthews if she is elected presitdent, she will declare war on cancer, and then she will support the war on cancer for two years, and then she will be against it for a year, and then she will back out of it all together.” Jay Leno, host of NBC’s Tonight Show.
