Salt water as fuel?

We’ve heard some wild stories over time about potential new fuels to replace hydrocarbons and we’re still using gasoline in our cars, natural gas and coal in our powerplants and diesel in the big rigs.

John Kanzius is back in the news again. He’s a guy who accidentally found that a device he invented to kill cancer cells releases hydrogen from salt water and burns it. The Department of Energy is reported to be looking at it. Many people think this is total hogwash.

The device actually may have some use in killing cancer, it’s initial purpose.

What do you think about this recent story? Any aspects I missed?

It just sounds too good to be true. One guy said, if it actually is true, expect the guy to be found face down in an alley or disappear off the face of the earth. A conspiracy theory already. Wow!
